I was on the Diamond Princess in February and March 2023.
And I got some pictures of pools on the Diamond Princess cruise ship!
You don’t have to bring any sort of beach towel with you when you go to the pool.
You can find beach towels on the chairs by the pool, and you will also find a nearby beach towel rack with clean towels.
Similarly, there is also a place to put your used beach towels nearby.
Calypso reef and pool: Diamond Princess lido deck outdoor pool
The Calypso pool is the main pool on the Diamond Princess. There are also hot tubs by the outdoor pool on the lido deck.
There’s a rinse station / outdoor shower at this pool.

Neptune’s reef and pool: Diamond Princess lido deck indoor pool (covered pool)
The Neptune’s pool is the indoor pool of the Diamond Princess. There are also hot tubs by the indoor pool on the lido deck.
The Diamond Princess is one of the Princess cruise ships with a covered pool.
The indoor pool is right by the buffet area.
Terrace pool: Diamond Princess back of ship pool (aft pool)
The terrace pool might be the Diamond Princess pool with the best views!
The buffet area is also towards the back of the ship.
👆 This is the lido deck. There’s a small set of stairs to the pool. The buffet is also at the back of the ship on lido deck. If you walk straight here where you can go indoors, you are in the buffet dining area. Right before the doors to go inside, there’s also an outdoor seating area, so you can bring your food out here to eat outdoors with views!
Back of ship hot tubs (aft hot tubs)
There are also 2 hot tubs located at the back of the ship where you can also get views!
This is a couple of decks above the terrace pool, but you can get to it by taking the stairs from the very back of the ship. (Among other ways to get there.)

Diamond Princess front of ship pool (forward pool)
I’m not sure if there is a name for this pool.
This pool is right by the “Sanctuary” (a relaxation area for which there is a fee) and it feels like a private area.
But one of the spa staff people told me that the pool is free.
There is a pool and hot tub here.

This pool at the front of the ship is right near the spa.
In the spa area is the fitness center.
Around here I believe there was a free steam room and/or sauna. I honestly don’t remember (I think it was a steam room), but if you go to the spa desk, you can get a free tour! (I was given a tour on the first day.)
Or you can ask them which direction it is and you can go and see for yourself!
